You ask: what is the Papillon's hair like:
First, go here to read about the breed standard.
The hair coat should be smooth and silky, with no undercoat. It should be flowing/bouncing while walking.
But the texture of Papillon hair differs slightly from each other: from very fine and silky to a more thicker hair, but still silky.
Not so good: we call it "cotton coat" ; it does not move that well, also associates with an undercoat, which a Papillon should not have.
The coat itself is longer in some Papis, than others. Genes, Genes, and Genes again.
But there is more to it.

Up Towne Girl @ 12 weeks
Up Towne Girl Bella @ 12 Weeks:
Here a lovely letter + pics from her new mom.
Hi Antje
Can't tell you how much we love Bella. She's super smart and mostly potty-trained and goes to the door when she has to go out for the most part. She loves being outside and runs through the strawberry plants, barkdust, wet grass, and loves to get dirty. It was a fight to get her in her little coat today. She was not liking it, but i did manage to get a couple of pictures. She and Murphy the cat have their daily game of "Let's chase each other through the house". So, I think they are becoming friends. She traveled with us to Vancouver, WA yesterday and did wonderfully. She loves to look out the windows and she doesn't whine or bark. She got to meet several people and she is so friendly and excited to meet people that everyone just loves her.
Trying to get pictures while she is actually "still" is the hard part. Most of the time I end up with blurry pictures because she is aways moving.
Ps: I got woke up this morning with little puppy kisses.
