The Road's End way to socialize, train for dog shows; getting Papis used to traffic, commotion, petting, laud noises, is to take them to the shopping centers.

We just wanted to tell you how much we love our Road’s End Papillon named Pierce. Known as the Piercenator in our home, he has captured our lives with joy. Pierce wears his life on his paw and gladly lives every moment in anticipation of our next adventure. Pierce really likes three things best- camping, walks, and doggy training classes. We suspect he thinks the training classes are a weekly combination of both camping and walking and Disneyland. He’s a smart fella and shames the other dogs in his class with his control and smarts. Pierce is the greatest little doggy we could possibly imagine sharing our lives with.

Jogging with your Papillon

I come across your question "can I jog with my Papillon" many times and here is my answer:
Look at yourself, and believe , the same rules apply to your dog.
Are you fit?
Are you overweight?
What is your age in relation to the out-put?
Do you run slow?
Fast?
Marathons, or just a couple of miles?
Do you train frequently, or are you weekend warrior? (which is the most accident prone kind)
The only difference is that your dog has to first learn to be lead on a leash by you, most likely on your left side of your body.
You have to train him just like you did, or do: by going a little at a time, and lead up to longer stretches.
Give your Papi a good health check, make sure he likes that kind of a thing.If his tongue hangs way out, and he is panting a lot after a 1/2 mile or so, bring him back home.
There are many Papis out there who can out run you, but not every Papillon....just like people.

It's important to realise, that your tiny Papi will not withstand the amount of heat you do, nor does he deal with cold temperatures as well as you do. Also consider the terrain you run on, and evaluate the safety of his little paws.

Hi Antje -- Here are a couple of recent photos of Neiko. He will be 2 in May. Where does the time go? My little baby is growing up, and flourishing I might add! He is our king of the house and brings us pure joy each and every day. We absolutely love him! We just can't thank you enough for breeding such beautiful and wonderful companions. Good morning Antje,

Nico is doing fine. We are not used to having a puppy around. He has lots of energy. He always wants to play with the big dog. She is getting used to it. All he wants to do is play. We get him out a lot.

My daughter was home for the week and loves Nico. I'll attach a picture of them.

I'll start training him when it gets a little drier outside. Just the basic stuff. Sit, stay, come, heel and some other stuff. Right now he comes if he feels like it. But he is learning about rewards for good behavior.

As you can see from the pictures we do take him out. Soon we may go to the beach.
