Chicken and duck feet do contain bones, but the bones are relatively small and soft, making them edible. The feet are mostly made of skin, tendons, and connective tissue, and they are a good source of collagen, which is a protein that is important for skin, bone, and joint health.
Eating a diet high in ultra-processed foods can lead to long-term negative health consequences such as weight gain, increased risk of chronic diseases (such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers), and dietary imbalances. These foods often contain high amounts of added sugars, unhealthy fats, and salt, and are low in essential nutrients like fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Over time, a diet based on ultra-processed foods can lead to chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, and an overall decrease in health and well-being. It is recommended to limit consumption of ultra-processed foods and instead prioritize whole, minimally processed foods as part of a balanced diet.
Holistic vs Conventional veterinary care refers to two different approaches to caring for animals' health.
Holistic care focuses on treating the whole animal, including their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and often incorporates alternative therapies like acupuncture, herbal medicine, and nutrition.
Conventional care, on the other hand, primarily focuses on diagnosing and treating specific physical conditions and illnesses with conventional methods such as surgery, medications, and vaccines.
Both approaches have their advantages and it ultimately depends on the individual animal's needs and the owner's preferences. Some owners prefer a combination of both methods.
Our dogs are first holistically cared/treated and then conventionally if needed.
