Adding Raw Eggs to Dog Food

I feed my dogs occasionally about a tea spoon of raw egg to their menu. I also add in the mornings 2 small eggs to two pounds of ground meat.
Sometimes I add scrambled eggs, or hard boiled eggs , and everything is eagerly consumed.
The key here, as always, is : everything in moderation.

Bottom Line: Raw egg whites contain the protein avidin, which may block absorption of biotin, a water-soluble B-vitamin. However, it's unlikely to cause deficiency unless you eat a lot of raw eggs.
