You Ask: The Weight of a Papillon at Birth

You ask: the weight of a Papillon at birth:
A good and healthy weight is 4 ounces (113-114 Gram). But there are many who weigh less; more like 2.5 oz, or 3.
I had some born who did not register on the scale, and some of them lived to be healthy and happy!
All in all, prey for a 3.5-4 ouncer!

Road's End Ore'O , here 4 days old, could not be registered on my scale.

  1. Your baby pix just stretch my heartstrings. I have never owned a Pap puppy, but I have two female adults, and we provide summer camp for a third. The puppies are so adorable, I can almost smell them. Thanks for all the pix and info.

  2. My papillon was 180g at birth. Pure breed, but his mother was very big for a papillon. I'm assuming he will be too once he reaches adulthood.
